題目：The role of syntactic ergativity and resumptive pronouns in Tongan sentence processing

摘要：In the psycholinguistic literature, grammatical properties such as word order and Case system are known to influence how the parser processes sentences (Koizumi, et al., 2014, Aoshima, et al., 2004, among others). Tongan is a language spoken in the Kingdom of Tonga (Austronesian, Polynesian) which uses the ergative-absolutive case system, and uses resumptive pronouns in several syntactic environments. Our study examined how syntactic ergativity and resumptive pronouns influence structural prediction, using Tongan as a case study.
